Technical Description
A fine and rare set of six 19th century finger bowls in green with slice cut panels and polished pontils. Unusual to find a matching set with this decoration. Used for rinsing the fingers at the dining table in a time when eating with the hands was commonplace and can still be utilised today.

13th Nov 1850 saw the birth in Edinburgh of Robert Louis Stevenson, the renowned essayist, poet, and author of fiction and travel books.
