Technical Description
A studio art glass gecko lizard paperweight by Michael J. Hunter. Handmade blown glass, the form is hot-worked from colourless glass with silver and gold leaf inclusions layered over a colourful mottled centre. The gecko’s body is made using a modified zanfirico cane with additionally applied legs and toes. The base is signed ‘M Hunter Twists 23’.
This is one of Mike’s calling card creations, he is a renowned paperweight craftsman typically using his signature murrine’s in the millefiori style or creating very intricate images. The lizard you see is unique, they come in all different colour combinations, contact us for a commission at any time. We chose this example due to its vivid green hues and complementary colour scheme.

Excellent, specially selected from the hot glass studio, as new.
