Technical Description
An 18th-century gin glass with an elegant drawn trumpet bowl engraved with egg and dart. Slice cut stem above a conical foot with a snapped pontil.
Date & Origin
England, c1790. Period of George II.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration. There is a tiny open-air bubble on the underside of the foot.

Height: 11.8cm Rim diameter: 5.7cm, Foot diameter: 6.2cm.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the astronomer Anders Celsius introduced the Centigrade temperature scale.
