Technical Description
An 18th century air twist wine glass dating to c1750. It has a bell bowl above a multi spiral air twist stwm with two swelling knops. Conical foot.

Europe, c1750. Period of George II.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown, no chips cracks or restoration.

Height: 17.8cm, Rim diameter: 7.5cm, Folded Foot diameter: 7.8cm.
Historical Context
This glass was made approx 20 years prior to James Cook’s landing at Botany Bay in Australia and approx 5 years after the Jacobite defeat at Culloden in Scotland.
