Technical Description
An 18th century Balustroid wine glass. It has a bell bowl with a solid section at the base above an annulated shoulder knop, hollow inverted baluster and basal knop. The piece is supported by a folded conical foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time King George I died on his way to Hanover in1727. His son, George, Prince of Wales, became King George II of Great Britain.
