A large 18th century plain stem wine goblet. A drawn trumpet bowl transitions into an elegant plain stem containing an air tear. The conical foot has a rough pontil.
On the first inspection, this glass may initially seem too big for purpose, however, I can assure you, in the hand, it fits like a glove, is beautifully weighted, not too heavy, not too light. Also, you don't feel like your drinking out of a goldfish bowl as the diameter is just right. It holds 15 floz. This is a fantastic glass.
Hand-blown around the time Benjamin Franklin invented his Franklin stove.
