Technical Description
A superb group of four 19th century mixed twist and air twist wine glasses.
On the group picture
The first glass is a fine tall cordial with a long round funnel bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem with a slight central swelling knop. The is the earliest example around c1850.
We then have a conical bowl above a double series air twist stem consisting of a multi spiral outside a central air column. Folded foot c1860.
The last two examples on the right are mixed twist cordials with round funnel bowls with mixed twist stems consisting of multi spiral air twists outside two pairs of opaque spiral tapes. Conical feet.
Overall a very fine varied selection of glasses.
