Technical Description
Engraved 18th century wine glass. The drawn conical bowl is engraved with a fruiting vine. A folded conical foot with a rough pontil. Fruiting vine on an ale glass is quiet rare, the more common examples having hops and barley.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of the Battle of Falkirk Muir where British Government forces were defeated by Jacobite forces.
