Technical Description
Pair of late 19th century Venetian opalescent wine glasses. The wrythen moulded round funnel bowl has a cranberry glass rim. The inverted baluster stem continues the moulding and is decorated with a cranberry glass vermiform collar. The piece is supported by a conical foot with further moulding and applied rim. A rough pontil completes the piece.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time King Hubert of Italy was assassinated, in 1900.
