Technical Description
An ancient Roman glass jar, produced sometime between the years 1 - 400 AD. The glass material is of a translucent pale green hue. Free-blown and tooled, the vessel has a bulbous body with a flared lip, which leads to an everted and inwardly folded rim. A small pontil mark can be seen within the slightly concave base.

Roman, Imperial Period, 1st - 4th century CE. Eastern Mediterranean.
Condition
Excellent, Intact. Weathering and naturally flaking encrustation, stunning patches of iridescence to the surface.

Vessels of this form have been found excavated in Syria & other Eastern Mediterranean areas.
