Technical Description
An early 19th century 'Horn of Plenty' engraved Ale glass or Rummer dating to c1820.
It has a cup bowl engraved with a large Horn of Plenty which is overflowing with engraved and cut fruiting vine with hops and double barley ears. Sits on thin capstan stem above a conical foot with polished pontil.
An exceptional example with very unusual engravings which we cant recall seeing before.
It comes from a small, but high quality collection we will be presenting over the next few weeks.
