Technical Description 

A large limited edition glass colour opaque twist goblet made by Whitefriars to celebrate the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953.

A large round funnel bowl engraved with the crown, the Queen's monogram and the date of her coronation, 2nd June 1953. Sits above a colour double series opaque twist stem consisting of a pair of white multi ply spiral tapes outside a pair of red and a pair of blue spiral threads.

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration.

Comments

This glass comes from the Michael Wallis collection which took over 45 years to build and contains over 250 drinking glasses, covering all forms from the 18th century, many exceptionally rare. They will all be presented by Exhibit over the coming weeks and months.
