Technical Description
A fine mid 18th century Balustroid wine glass. It has a round funnel bowl above an inverted baluster knop above a conical foot.
Date & Origin
England, c1750. Period of George II.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown, no chips cracks or restoration.

Height: 13.7cm Rim diameter: 4.7cm Foot diameter: 6.2cm.
Historical Relevance
This glass was made approx 20 years prior to James Cook’s landing at Botany Bay in Australia and approx 5 years after the Jacobite defeat at Colloden in Scotland.
