Technical Description
An exceptional George Bacchus glass decanter dating to c1850.
A spirit decanter of shaft and globe form, with opaque white overlay cut back to blue showing printie and diamond cuts with matching stopper.
A cranberry example can be seen on the front cover of 5000 years of glass by Tait Hugh and you can see a bright lime green and the cranberry example (which is in the British Museum) on page 265 of The Decanter Ancient to Modern by Andy McConnell.
An exceptionally rare piece from a large private collection we will be introducing in the coming weeks, this is one of the rarer pieces from that collection by George Bacchus, examples of which were exhibited at the Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace in 1851.

Condition
Excellent, no chips, cracks or restoration. It has been well treasured over the years.
