Technical Description 

A crystal jam jar made by Edinburgh Crystal in 1935. It has its original lid with cut finial. Fine swags with flowers cut below the rim with a band of diamonds within prisms to the body with a star cut base.


You can find an example of this barrel in Dr Jill Turnbull's book 'From Goblets to Gaslights' on page 189 Illustration 13.82.

Excellent, No chips cracks or restoration.

This piece comes from the Dr Jill Turnbull collection which was put together as part of Jill's research for her books, including 'From Goblets to Gaslights, The Scottish Glass Industry 1750-2006. Exhibit will be presenting the collection for sale over the coming months.
