Technical Description
A superb 19th century Shaft and Globe glass decanter. It has its original hollow flute cut stopper, the fluted cutting continuing down the neck. A band of large oval cuts above further flute cutting and a star cut base.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the first section of the London Underground Railway opened to the public, running from Paddington to Farringdon Street.
