Technical Description
A magnificent late 19th-century flower vase in cranberry which has been cut to clear with hobnail, oval, slice and flute cutting above a clear slice cut stem and square base.
Historical Relevance
During July 1880, the French-American Union announces that enough money has been raised to complete the construction of the Statue of Liberty, although further funding will be required to construct the pedestal on which it will sit in New York Harbor.
