Technical Description
A superb late 19th century Venetian wine goblet almost certainly by Salviati. It has a large round funnel bowl with a red rim and applied clear band of tear drop trailing around the base. Hollow annulated knop with applied red beads. Conical foot, again with a red rim. Snapped pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time King Hubert of Italy was assassinated, in 1900.
