Technical Description
Six like-formed port wine glasses. A bucket bowl rests upon a knopped stem with a conical foot. Three glasses have rough pontils, two feature a gadget tooling marks and one is polished.

Maine Becomes the 23rd state of the USA. Maine was an enclave of Massachusetts until 1820, when as a result of the growing population and a political agreement regarding slavery, it became the 23rd state on March 15 under the Missouri Compromise
