Technical Description
18th century opaque twist wine glass. An ogee bowl engraved with crosshatched swags above two floral sprigs stands upon a double series opaque twist stem. The twist is made up of a multi-ply spiral band outside a central gauze. This all rests upon a conical foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the first patent for a one-piece pencil with eraser was issued to American inventor J. Rechendorf of New York City.
