Technical Description
A mid 18th-century air twist wine glass which has a round funnel bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem with a central swelling knop. Sits on a conical foot.

Historical Context
In 1751, the English gardener Lancelot Brown set up his own business as a freelance 'improver of grounds', and very soon acquired the nickname Capability Brown. Life was rather harsh in the mid 18th century and having a garden was rather special.
