Technical Description
Engraved 19th century glass tankard. The tapered body is engraved with a large elaborate wreath containing the initials CF, the body also features an applied handle with an air column within. A polished pontil completes the piece.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the first rugby international was played in Edinburgh, resulting in a 1–0 win by Scotland over England on the 27th of March 1871.
