Technical Description
An 18th century blue colour twist dating to c1765. It has an ovoid bowl above a stem consisting of a 12-ply spiral band outside a solid tubular white corkscrew edged in translucent cobalt blue. Conical foot.
Acquired on behalf of an Australian client.

The unusual tubular corkscrew is seen in a small handful of other blue colour twist glasses, including a firing glass from the Julius and Ann Kaplan Collection which was sold by Bonhams on 15 November 2017, lot 55 and another sold by Bonhams on 20 June 2023, lot 113.
