Technical Description
For the gamblers and fishermen of the world, a rare 19th century 1/2 pint tankard dating to c1860. The bowl has been engraved with a fishman, fish, flowers and leaves, and with the motto 'Never Drink Water', with the name GRIFFITHS. At the base we have a hollow compartment containing two dice. Applied handle.
A very unusal and rare example, we have never seen one like this before the more common form being tumblers.

Condition
Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration. The dice compartment is slightly cloudy as shown.

Historical Context
