Technical Description
Antique solitaire board of thirty two 19th-century German marbles. The marble collection consists of twenty latticino core swirls. The remainder are solid and ribbon cores, all in various colours. The marbles are arranged upon a decorated 19th century mahogany solitaire board with a surrounding well to store removed marbles when playing. A superb set and unusual board, the marbles being well above average size.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of the unification of Germany, which officially occurred on 18th of January 1871.
