Technical Description

A tall 18th century Baluster goblet dating to c1730. It has a drawn trumpet bowl and stem with a large central air beaded knop all sitting on a domed foot.  A superb example.

Date & Origin

England, c1730. Period of George II.

Condition

Excellent, no chips, cracks, or restoration.

Height: 22.6cm Rim diameter: 10.2cm Foot diameter: 9.3cm.

Historical Context

Hand-blown around the time George, Prince of Wales, became King George II of Great Britain in 1727.
