Technical Description
An early 19th century Masonic engraved Whisky glass tumbler dating to c1800. It has a tapered bowl with the Lodge number 164 above a set square and compass. Large polished pontil and weighs 417 grams.
Lodge Number 164 is "The Lodge of Old Aberdeen" which was established in 1786. The old lodge house is now used by Aberdeen University, with the lodge itself moving to the Old Coach House nearby in 2004.
