Technical Description
An antique solitaire board of thirty two 19th-century German marbles. The marble collection consists of latticino core swirls, solid and ribbon cores, all in various colours. The marbles are arranged upon a decorated 19th century mahogany solitaire board with a surrounding well to store removed marbles when playing. A superb set and unusual board, the marbles all being of similar size.

Condition
Age-related wear, overall the set is in excellent condition with no major damage to any of the marbles or board.
Dimensions
The board is 22.4cm in diameter and 2cm tall.
The vast majority of the marbles measure around 1cm in diameter.
Historical Context
Hand-blown around the time of the unification of Germany, which officially occurred on 18th of January 1871.
