Technical Description

A very unusual 18th century goblet dating to c1740.

 

It has a large baluster form bowl with a wide rim which sits directly onto a cushion knop above a large domed and folded foot.

 

Not a form which we have come across before. It could be a ceremonial goblet, or used mixing bowl, either way, its a stunning piece of early glass.

England, c1740. Period of George II.

Condition

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration
