Technical Description
A superb pair of Jacobite wine glasses dating to c1760.
They have ogee bowls engraved with Jacobite roses, single buds and a Jay bird. They sit on double series opaque twist stems consisting of 15-ply spiral bands outside a pair of spiral threads. Conical feet.
Excellent Jacobite examples which based on the engravings, specifically the style of the buds, which are quite unusual, are by Engraver G according to Seddon. You can example of these engravings on page 121 plate C of "The Jacobite And Their Drinking Glasses" by Geoffrey Seddon.

England, c1760. Period of George III.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown, no chips cracks or restoration. A few small black seeds in the stem, perfectly normal for this age of glass.
