Technical Description 

An 18th-century facet cut wine glass. The round funnel bowl with an engraved swag above a hexagonal facet cut stem and a rare hexagonal foot with a polished pontil.

Date & Origin 

England, c1780. Period of George III.

Condition

Good, age-related wear as shown. A few minor nibbles to the foot.

This glass comes from the Michael Wallis collection which took over 45 years to build and contains over 250 drinking glasses, covering all forms from the 18th century, many exceptionally rare. They will all be presented by Exhibit over the coming weeks and months.
