Technical Description
A classic Georgian air twist wine glass. The drawn trumpet bowl above a multi-spiral air twist stem. Conical foot with a rough pontil.
Quiet an unusual glass in that its around 4-5cm smaller than a standard wine of this form whereas the bowl is standard wine size...thus the category "short wine".
Date & Origin
England, c1750. Period of George II.
Condition
Small nibble to side of foot rim and a very slight misty band to the base of the bowl where alcohol has been left too long. You often see this at the base of period glass decanters for the same reason. Each glass has its own unique history and at 270 years old Im more than happy to fogive its small flaws.
Dimensions
Height: 13cm Rim diameter: 5.5cm Foot diameter: 7.2cm.
