Technical Description
A superb late 18th century Facet cut wine glass dating to c1790.
It has a Chinoiserie engraved ogee bowl with Chinese palaces and architecture and as a very rare occurrence, a traditional Chinese wooden sailing ship (Junk) in the harbour. We cant recall seeing another Chinoiserie wine glass with a ship.
Sits on a diamond facet cut stem above a conical foot with a polished pontil.
A rather stunning example.
