Technical Description
A very fine 18th-century light baluster wine glass dating to around 1745.
It has a round funnel bowl engraved with clasping hands appearing from the clouds on either side with the words Vriendschap and a Ducal Coronet above all set within a floral cartouche. Sits on a stem with several anngular and flattened ball knops. Dommed and folded foot.
Friendship glasses were popular in the 18th century as a love token between friends or lovers.
