Technical Description
A superb 18th-century composite wine glass. It has a bell bowl with a solid section. The bowl is engraved with a Chrysanthemum in flower. Air beaded shoulder knop and a multi spiral air twist with upper and lower knops. Conical foot.
You can see various composite stem glasses in Bickerton starting on page 188. Composite Stems form a very small section of the overall 18th cen glass forms and production levels were small and as such, they are highly desirable and difficult to source.
