Technical Description 

A large limited edition glass goblet made by Whitefriars to celebrate the coronation of George VI on 12th May 1937.

Drawn trumpet with the crown and G&E II 12th May 1937 engraved on the bowl.

Plain stsme with conical foot engraved on the underside Whitefriars 513.

Date & Origin

England, c1937. 

Condition

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration.

Dimensions

Height: 20.5cm Diameter: 10.7cm. 

Historical Relevance 

The date was originally reserved for Edward VIII but after his abdication, the date was retained for his brother George.
