Technical Description

A rare early 18th-century Baluster Toastmaster cordial glass dating to 1715

It has a small flared bucket bowl above a collar and teared swelling central and basal knops. Conical foot.

You can find an example of this glass on page 99 plate 187 of Bickerton.

Condition

Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration

This glass comes from the Michael Wallis collection which took over 45 years to build and contains over 250 drinking glasses, covering all forms from the 18th century, many exceptionally rare. They will all be presented by Exhibit over the coming weeks and months.
