Technical Description
18th-century air twist wine glass. A round-funnel bowl engraved with a floral band consisting of rose buds and carnations. The single series air twist stem boasts a single spiral cable. Finished with a conical foot and a rough pontil. Possible Jacobite Sympathy.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences made Eva Ekeblad its first female member in 1748.
