A very fine pair of Opaque Twist Jacobite Sympathy wine glasses dating to c1760.
They have round funnel bowls engraved with large sunflowers with sprigs on either side and a jaybird on the reverse. They sit on double series opaque twist stems consisting of a pair of multi-ply corkscrews outside a pair of spiral threads. Conical feet with snapped pontils.
