Technical Description
A double series opaque twist comprised of a pair of spiral threads outside a gauze column. An ogee bowl decorated with an engraved Jacobite rose, a closed bud, and thistle. This piece rests upon a conical type foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Handmade around the time of the arrival of Charles Edward Stuart in Eriskay 1745, and the Highland Clearances of the 1750s.
