Technical Description
An 18th-century Balustroid wine glass. It has a bell bowl above a double cushion shoulder knop and a basal knop. all containing a single long air tear. Conical folded foot with snapped pontl.
Date & Origin
England, c1740. Period of George II.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown.

Height: 14.7cm Rim diameter: 5.8CM Foot diameter: 7.1cm.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time King George I died on his way to Hanover in1727. His son, George, Prince of Wales, became King George II of Great Britain.
