Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips, cracks or restoration to the decanter, the original stopper has a few very small insignificant nibbles.

Technical Description 

A superb Sugarloaf glass decanter dating to 1760 with its original lozenge stopper. The decanter has been a superb detailed Passion Flower with a flower wreath containing roses with polished detailing and the initials H I S, standing for His Royal Highness James Stuart, the I being a disguised J (the death penalty was still in place for Jacobite Sympathy is 1760). Polished pontil to the base.
