Technical Description
A very fine mid 18th century drawn trumpet wine glass. It has a large air tear at the top of the stem which sits on a domed foot. Snapped pontil.
Domed feet on 18th-century wines are quite scarce and this is a particularly nice example. Very well balanced.

England, c1750. Period of George II.
Condition
Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration.

Historical Relevance
Hand-made around the time the wearing of the kilt was banned in Scotland by the Dress Act in 1746.
