Technical Description
An 18th century Champagne glass dating to around 1760.
It has a rib moulded double ogee bowl with an everted rim and diamonds to the shoulders.
A triple annulated merese above a double knopped single series opaque twist stem.
Helmet folded foot with rib moulding.
A magnificent rare example.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the British captured Pondichéry, India from the French on the 16th of January 1761.
