A Dutch 18th-century opaque twist wine glass. A round funnel bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of two pairs of spiral threads outside a central gauze. A conical foot with a rough pontil.

Historical Relevance

Back in the 1970's when the Scott Falk collection was started, Dutch Soda glasses would have been just as rare and collectable as their English counterparts and I doubt that Scott differentiated between them. Probably used for Gin rather than wine.

In a historical context, this glass was hand-blown around the time of The Seven Years' War, a global conflict fought between 1756 and 1763.
