Technical Description
A superb amethyst glass finger bowl from the first hlaf of the 19th century. Simple incurved bowl with broad polished pontil. Used for rinsing the fingers at the dining table in a time when eating with the hands was commonplace.
Historical Relevance
Hand crafted around the time King George IV died and was succeeded by his younger brother William IV.
