Technical Description
An excellent late19th century green glass goblet . It has a thickened ovoid bowl above a slice cut stem featuring a slice cut basal knop. The foot is finished with a star cut pontil. An excellent pair with a good weight. An unusual form which sits well in the hand.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Cleopatra's Needle was erected on the Victoria Embankment in London, having arrived in England on the 21st of January that year (1878).
