Technical Description
A magnificent Irish standing bowl in the form of a Scottish Thistle. Very typically Waterford, with fine fan, diamond and prism cutting, the style of cutting being continued under the foot. Superb condition and a rare find.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Austins of Derry was established in Northern Ireland. At its closure in 2016, it remained the world's oldest independent department store.
