Technical Description 

This is a Prussian Decanter dating to 1820 with a snake neck ring. This particular neck ring style from this period is exceptionally rare and we have only had one other example in the last 20 years. You can see this decanter in Andy McConnell's 'The Decanter Ancient and Modern' on page 165.

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time The Guardian newspaper was founded as The Manchester Guardian in 1821.
