Technical Description
18th-century opaque twist ale glass. A long narrow lipped bell bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of two pairs of spiral threads outside a gauze. Conical folded foot.
An exceptionally rare glass the bowl form not being one that we have had before with exceptional height at 8.5 inches. As most collectors will know a folded foot on an opaque twist is a very rare event. Overall an exceptional glass and not one that you will find elsewhere.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time The Treaty of Hubertusburg put an end to the Seven Years' War between Prussia and Austria, and their allies France and Russia.
